A new style of surface amde from recycled glass that can be recycled again.

A new, translucent surface material has been introduced by Coverings Etc for use both indoors and outdoors. The best part is that it is made from 100%  recycled glass with no colorants or other additives, and comes with a Silver level of Cradle-to-Cradle certification. Not only is Bio-Glass made from recycled materials, but the surface itself is also recyclable. Bio-Glass takes recycled glass from various waste streams such as bottles, plates, etc. and presses them together into almost marble-like slabs. The product is either made with pre-consumer or post-consumer recycled material, or a mixture of both, depending on the specific color.

Bio-Glass is produced in six different colors and is sold with a natural finish in sheets measuring 110″ x 49″ x 3/4″. Early price quotes reveal a price tag of $90 per square foot, not including installation.
